Cookie Policy
Last updated March 11, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how DeWitt Strategic Advisors, LLC (dba “DeWitt Labs”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you access the Nuri web portal at nuri.dewitt.us and the company website at dewitt.us. For information about what personal data we collect and why, please see our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide reporting information, and assist with personalization. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called “first-party cookies.” We also use localStorage for client-side preferences that persist across sessions.
2. Consent
When you first visit the Nuri portal, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage as nuri_consent and persists across sessions. If you decline, the analytics tracker does not load and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage for nuri.dewitt.us.
3. Cookies We Use

These cookies are strictly necessary for the web portal to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
- __session — Clerk authentication session token. Identifies your logged-in session. Expires when the session ends.
- __client — Clerk client identifier. Used to maintain your authentication state across page loads.
Analytics Cookies
We use a self-hosted, first-party analytics system powered by Tinybird. No data is sent to Google Analytics, Facebook, or any advertising network. These cookies are only set if you accept analytics via the consent banner.

1if you arrived via an AI search engine (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, etc.),0otherwise. Expires after 7 days. - ai_src — AI referrer domain (e.g.,
chatgpt.com). Only set whenai_ref=1. Expires after 7 days. - ref_src / ref_med — UTM-style attribution cookies recording the traffic source and medium. Set by the Cloudflare edge worker on first visit. Expire after 7 days.

4. Cookies We Do Not Use
Nuri does not use and has never used:
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any Google tracking
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, etc.)
- Third-party marketing cookies
- Cross-site tracking technologies
- Fingerprinting scripts
We do not sell cookie data to third parties. We do not participate in ad networks or real-time bidding exchanges.
5. Native Apps (macOS & iOS)
The Nuri macOS and iOS applications do not use browser cookies or any third-party analytics SDKs. Authentication in native apps is handled via secure JWT tokens stored in the system keychain, not cookies. No usage analytics are collected by the native apps. The cookie information described in this policy applies exclusively to the web surfaces at nuri.dewitt.us and dewitt.us.
6. Embed Widget
The Nuri chat embed widget can be integrated on third-party websites. The widget itself does not set cookies on the host site. It communicates with the Nuri API over HTTPS and authenticates via a signed token, not cookies. The host site’s own cookie policies apply independently.
7. Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically find these in the “Preferences” or “Settings” menu of your browser. Common options include:
- Viewing what cookies are set and deleting them individually
- Blocking third-party cookies
- Blocking all cookies from specific sites
- Deleting all cookies when you close your browser
To revoke your analytics consent, clear your browser’s local storage for nuri.dewitt.us. You will see the consent banner again on your next visit. Alternatively, clearing cookies for dewitt.us will remove the analytics cookies directly.
Please note that if you disable essential cookies (Clerk session cookies), you will not be able to log in or use the authenticated features of the Nuri web portal.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our business practices. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
